Ingartek improves the mobility of eroski employees with a sustainable plan

Ingartek has developed a Workplace Mobility Plan for Eroski S. Coop, in compliance with the Energy Sustainability Law of the Basque Country and Decree 254/2020. This project addresses the need for companies with more than 100 employees per shift to have a mobility plan in place from November 2022.

The mobility diagnosis revealed several difficulties, such as the preference for private transport due to the availability of free parking and the lack of coordination of public transport with working hours. For each of Eroski’s 14 work centres, specific difficulties were identified and personalised solutions were proposed:

  • Promotion of Sustainable Modes: Promoting the use of bicycles, electric scooters and walking, facilitating access and publicising their benefits.
  • Improving Public Transport: Coordination with local authorities to optimise public transport schedules and frequencies.
  • Cycling Infrastructure: Increase infrastructure for bicycles and electric scooters, such as bicycle lanes and dedicated parking.
  • Awareness: Internal campaigns to encourage sustainable mobility habits among employees.
  • Car Sharing: Establishment of exclusive parking spaces for shared vehicles and the creation of an internal platform to facilitate the formation of travel groups.

This plan, designed for a four-year period, sets clear and measurable targets, with continuous monitoring to assess its effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

Workplace mobility plans are essential to reduce the carbon footprint, improve the work experience of employees and optimise transport resources. Ingartek offers specialist services in the creation and implementation of these plans, helping companies to comply with environmental regulations and improve their operational sustainability. Our services include:

  • Mobility Diagnosis: Detailed analysis of the current situation and specific needs.
  • Action Plans: Development of concrete and practical strategies to improve mobility.
  • Coordination with Authorities: Collaboration with local authorities to implement effective solutions.
